Have you made your New Year’s resolutions for 2012?  You might want to throw in a resolution or two for your business or career.  Let Gateway Area Business Association inspire you.
Resolve to give back.   Incorporate volunteer opportunities into meetings and conferences and make a commitment to lend a hand in your community.  Your Gateway Area Business Association (GABA) is 100% volunteer. Take an active role in helping plan a tribute to First Responders, nominate a Citizen of the Year or sell Parkrose CDs to your customers and friends.

Resolve to continue to evolve.  Add or streamline your service or markets, keep your mind open and your job or business fresh by exploring new avenues or opportunities that could potentially add to your company’s or career’s future success. Participate in GABA meetings and events and network with business members.  Sell your products and services at the Fun-O-Rama Community Fair from your membership FREE Vendor Space under a covered tent.

Resolve to add more fun into the workplace. Build and ride on a float in the Fun-O-Rama Parade.  Form a barber shop quartet and sing in the Talent Show at GABA’s Fair.  Award a rubber chicken to a great employee or maybe the boss. Bring a little silly into the everyday.

Resolve to take the time to celebrate your successes.  Take the time to acknowledge your team’s hard work.  How about “Applause Awards” or brag about a business associate or yourself at a GABA meeting
