HAPPY NEW YEAR!
As I hand over the Gateway Area Business Association reins to our 2009 President, AJ Prasad, I want to thank you for two wonderful years as your president. 2008 was a year of unprecedented change and uncertainty. I have spoken to members who have been hit hard by the tough economic climate, some who are holding their own and a few that have found innovative ways to grow and prosper like never before. I hope you find your organization in one of the latter two categories! We know that making things happen in this environment is challenging and that every penny must be scrutinized more closely than ever. That’s why GABA is so grateful you chose to be a member in 2008. Today marks the first page in a new book with an ending that has yet to be written. Know that your Gateway Area Business Association is ready to pull out every stop to make sure your story has a happy ending in 2009.
Hope you will join us for GABA’s General Membership Meeting on Thursday, January 8th in the meeting room of the Multnomah County Library, Midland Branch – 805 SE 122nd Ave. (south of Stark St.) Lunch will be catered by Loaves and Fishes. Learn more than you’ve ever wanted to know about GRAFFITI and how we can stop it! You and I probably joined GABA to “work together and network to promote each other and to ensure the success of business and community goals.” In these difficult economic times, let’s lean on each other to grow and prosper. As is GABA’s custom, you’re encouraged to introduce yourself to everyone and pass out your promotional materials.
